Why was my photo upload so slow

In the trial mode, I uploaded 40 photos to CC. It took five hours for the upload!

I use Lightroom 5 and upload many more photos than that to SmugMug and it takes only a few minutes.

Why is it advantageous for me to switch to CC if my  uploads will consume so much time?

Hi,

Sync is dependant on the speed of your internet connection, do you have any transfer speeds set in Creative Cloud?. Could you try again to see if the upload speed is still slow?.
