my daugter got a nook for christmas. trying to use my existing digatl reader to transfer books to her reader. When she tries to open it on her device, she gets a 'user not activated' message. How do I get her authorized?

For a Nook eReader, plug it in by USB, run ADE (Digital Editions) and use 'menu/Help/Authorize Device' ('Library/authorize Device' if using the older more reliable ADEv1.7.2).

For a tablet, there should be an authorization in the settings of whatever app you are using to read the book.

I suggest the Bluefire app as it seems to have fewest problems getting the authorization to work right.
