Acrobat reader does not open my docs in Window 7 and I've tried everything.

Acrobat reader 11.0 or so does not work on my Window 7 and I have reinstalled about 10 times.  I have never had a problem with other versions of Windows, but this.

By the way, I am  trying to open the files from Explorer,

Why is it happening, does anyone know?
