Adding text to speech feature to adobe digital editions

I have dyslexia. I downloaded it to read e-books through the adobe digital editions program. It does not have a text-to-speech feature. Can software engineers add text-to-speech feature to adobe digital editions? I think it is very important that it appeals to a more inclusive consumer audience.
