Hello I am trying to read downloaded .acsm file which was a e book from the e library. I downloaded the Adobe Digital Edition too. I am trying to authorize my PC  but it keeps n giving me error message. Please help me. Thank you.pic.PNG

Windows:

    Close all applications.

    Press WINDOWS + R.

    In the Open text box, type regedit and then press Enter. The Registry Editor opens.

    In the left pane of the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept

    Remove the Adept Folder.

    In the Confirm Key Delete dialog, click OK.

    Close the Registry Editor.

    Open Adobe Digital Editions and reauthorize..

Macintosh:

    quit Adobe Digital Editions.

    Navigate to /Users//Library/Applicatio

Thank you very much for your help. I was able to authorize my pc which is windows 10. But I still have another challenge. The downloaded book .acsm can still not be viewed. Here is the error message that I am getting. Will you please be able to assist further.pic2.PNG

Yes the e book is on my f drive which I had previously downloaded from overdrive library app. Now the downloaded file is .acsm and for which i have to do all the other steps of Installation of Adobe Digital Edition.

No the issue is different. The first issue was solved but now it's saying about the licence.

I have uninstall Adobe Digital editions and reinstall, but each time my computer is allowed by my Adobe ID used during the first installation. It is also impossible for me to deauthorize the computer.

Bonjour, j'avais le même problème.  Si vous avez Windows 11, Edge est défini par défaut et modifie les paramètres des fichiers de My digital editions en format 'edge' et il faut donc aller dans les propriétés et choisir Adobe digital éditions.  Si ça ne fonctionne pas, supprimez le My digital editions (dans vos dossiers sous utilisateur), supprimez Adobe digital editions et réinstallez-le du début, car c'est probablement parce que le My digital editions a un paramètre de l'ancienne version.  Quant on efface tout et qu'on réinstalle du tout début, ça fonctionne et je n'ai même pas eu à réautoriser mon ordinateur. En vous souhaitant la même chose! 🙂
