Adobe Digital Editions 3.0 PC Authorization Problem

I can't authorize my Adobe Digital Editions 3.0.  I get an error message:

Activation Server error

code: E_AUTH_NOT_READY

Digital Editions encountered an error on the activation server..

To retry, click the Try Again button.

I previously authorized this computer before I had the problem.  How do I get this computer authorized?
