adobe digital editions closes unexpectedly

I have ADE on my MAC.  I have downloaded several library books to ADE.  When I attempt to drag and drop to my KOBO, ADE closes unexpectedly.  I have deleted the program and redownloaded and still get the same results.

Any suggestions?
