Adobe Digital Editions to Nook

I'm trying to transfer two books from Adobe Digital Editions to my Nook (1st Gen). I attached the Nook to my Mac with the USB cord. It showed up in Adobe Digital Editions. When I try to add the books to my Nook, I get the error message "No permission to copy the book." The First to Read website claims that their Digital Galleys are compatible with Nook. Why am I getting this error?

I have the same problem.  I tried support, they transferred me to an expert, who said they couldn't help and only sent me here to find out that ADOBE isn't helping at all....
