Adobe Reader piggyback programs

When updating Adobe Reader are all piggyback software programs (like the current Google inclusion) clearly identified as an optional choice? I have found many program providers have put things in their updates without asking.

At least Adobe haven't dropped to the level of Oracle and started installing rogue taskbars for those that don't look at every install detail.
