Authorize computer Adobe Digital Editions 4.5

I'm trying to authorize my computer for Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.

I keep getting the message that it can't access the server, check the internet is working. I've tried with and without the Windows Firewall.

Any suggestions? Trying to access an ebook that I've downloaded.

Which error message get you exactly? Which operating system you used?

It says

Connection Error

Digital Editions could not connect to the activation server. Please check you are connected to the internet.

And I'm using Windows Vista

4.5 are not work with vista, try it with 3.0: Adobe Digital Editions downloads
