Can anyone tell me why digital editions freezes at the download stage? I have 5 books from kobo sitting in my library and cannot read them

Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling the digital editions even going back to ADE3 but still no success.

Is this a general problem with Adobe or am I alone in this.

I should point out that these problems have only been experienced since moving from Sainsburys books to Kobo because I have a Barnes & Noble Nook E reader but have managed to download many books until the last month or so when things started to go wrong.

Im desperate for an answer, so if anyone can help....please let me know soon as possible
