Can't copy text from eBook on Adobe Digital Editions

I was able to copy and paste the text from my eBook, but now it's not working. Any suggestions?

I am able to copy text from some eBooks using ADE 3.0, but not with ADE 4.5. Also, the eBooks we've created with Adobe Pro 9+ allow us to copy text when opening these eBooks in ADE (any version), but with an eBook created with Adobe Standard DC (later version than Pro 9+), we can't copy text from the eBooks using ADE 4.5, only with ADE 3.0 are we able to copy text.

I see this same problem posted in your forum from 2016-2017, but is there any fix for this yet?
