Can't download Adobe Digital Editions

I have a Windows 10 PC and downloaded Adobe Digital Editions.  The download bar was full and a Norton advertisement window comes up and both windows just freeze.  Then I have to hit control alt delete and stop the task.  Happens every time.  Simply won't complete the download.
