I am also having issues. Finder won't recognize the ASCM files I am downloading from my library. And if I drag a file into the Digital Editions window, most of the time it crashes the application and the book file won't be accessible.

Hi,
Can you please share some details about the crash you are facing?
Did you try installing the latest ADE (4.0.2) and checked if this issue is still present?
Does ADE crashes on all the "acsm/epub" files you open? or some particular one only?
Did you try to open any other e-book? If no, I will suggest that you right click on the book and open it with ADE and see if it works?
If ADE still crashes, then please share the latest crashlog as well.

Here's some answers!
I do have version 4.02.
Only crashes on some acsm files but have had it happen with more than one file.
I've gotten others to work fine.
Right clicking and using "open with" on file itself crashes ADE too.
I don't want to post the whole crash log here. Very long!
