I am having trouble reading an e-book that I purchased. After installing Digital Editions, I've found that I can not hold the down-arrow to scroll multiple lines. Rather, I am redundantly tapping down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, and so on; you get the idea. In Acrobat Standard, as well as Acrobat Reader, I can hold the down arrow but that doesn't seem to work in Digital Editions. What is the key to scroll continuously so as to avoid getting carpal tunnel syndrome on my first of hopefully many e-books?

Also, a somewhat related question, I have an ideal text size on my laptop screen, and to get to that size quickly, I usually will press the Ctrl-+ and Ctrl-minus keyboard shortcuts in Reader. What are the equivalent shortcuts in Editions, so that I can be equally productive in reading e-books as I am reading standard Reader content?

Thank you in advance,
Justin Brown

Not scrolling from the cursor keys is a bug which is fixed in the forthcoming release (but not in the currently available Beta). Providing zooming through the cursor keys is something I would like to get in. Let us see what we can do.

Regarding Justin’s original post, I see that “ctrl +” and “ctrl –” now work to increase and decrease the size (zoom in and zoom out) of the pdf in custom view. But even when I zoom out to the limit, the pdf is still too large. If I choose the fit to page view, it is too small. Is there no intermediate level? In Adobe Reader, I can set the zoom to whatever I want by putting in a percentage. It appears that with Adobe Digital Reader, I am limited to a very small or uncomfortably large pdf size.

Regards,

John

If you are using a laptop, using 2 finger scrolling on your laptop's mouse.

If using touch screen, just do it manually on the screen.
