I have the same issue, have not been able to fix it despite spending much time to try and figure a solution out.

Hi, I eventually solved it for my KOBO libra 2 after months of frustration:

- Download book (.acsm link downloaded) from your community library (or wherever from) to computer

- Use provided usbC cable (Whether the provided one or not seemed to make a difference - don't ask me why, I see no reason why one usbC cable should prove different to any other, but this actually appears to have been my main issue!).

- When a window shows on e-reader display: Chose to connect (to computer). Kobo reader then becomes visible as a unit in Adobe Digital Editions - hopefully! (Sometimes, I have had to take out cable and repeat)

- Go to File>Add to library (top left corner)

- Choose Adobe Content server message (down right)

- Choose your.acsm link (the one you initially dowloaded) and open. Book is downloaded and can be found in your library (under All items).

- Drag book from “All items” (where it is automatically placed) and drop onto KOBOeReader. Now book you can disconnect and the book should be on your reader.

Good luck!

It works!  I just did it and my KOBO appears in ADE. I would have never thought of this solution. Thank you so much, dude!
