Digital Editions Connection Error

Help. My Adobe Digital Editions has suddenly started acting weird.  I can no longer download epub books from my online library (eReolen). I just get the error message box -  "Connection Error Detected Digital Editions could not connect to the fulfillment server. Please make sure you are connected to the internet." But I am connected to the internet! I was using version 3.0 but tried updating to 4.5. No help. I uninstalled all versions then re-installed v 4.5. Same. I then re-installed v3.0. Still no joy. Also most of my books and all my pdfs no longer appear in the app (even though they are still in the folder). What's happened??

I am on a Mac OS 10.9, using the lastest Firefox browser. It's been working fine up to now. Any ideas? Thanks! Caleb

Agh, I feel your pain and have the same problem. I've done everything you've tried, as well as deauthorizing and reauthorizing with and without an adobe ID. I also don't have a firewall. NOTHING has worked. Have you had any luck?!?

Hi - I tried everything with no luck. No help from either Adobe, or eReolen. Eventually I gave up. But then my hard drive crashed and I had to reinstall everything from an old back up. Just the other day I tried again and it worked! I certainly don't recommend destroying your hard drive - and it maybe just coincidence. I heard that ADE sometimes just stops working (something to do with Adobe and their servers). So maybe after some weeks it will jusr start working again. Good luck with it!
