Digital Editions stops responding when loading ebook on PC

Recently Digtal Editions freezes when trying to load an ebook, either a new one or one in my library.

This seems to have started after I loaded the Windows 11 Feb 2025 update.

The issue got better after I renamed the My Digital Editions folder to My Digital Editions.old - I could see the books in my library. They still don't open.

The only way to close Dig editions is to close it in Task Manager.

YES!

Mine won't open at all now. It just shows me 'loading library' but NEVER opens! And the only way to close it is to open task manager and end it. This is very frustrating!
