New here too and having the exact same problem as Karen2219.....   I have, after extended attempts, authorized Adobe Digital Images on my PC, But now when I transfer a book to Nook i get a pop up error box which says "ErrorDialog"          "User not activated"   This never was an issue on my old computer!  What a difficult process that only gets more difficult.
