eBooks not showing on device in Adobe Digital Editions

I have a Kobo e-Reader Touch. when I open Adobe Digital Editions while my device is connected to my computer, all my ebooks are listed in ADE library but only a few are listed under my device (although they are all on my device). Why? How to correct?
