I have two different Kobo libra2's registered under different library cards to the same library. About a week ago it suddenly became impossible to browse for and download library books. When I push the button in the lower left corner of the Home window a new window comes up that says only: 'please wait...' but then it never advances. This happened for both eReaders. When I check out the books on the computer and Sync the eReader it doesn't work either even though the WiFi works fine.
I then tried adding ADE to my computer and downloading with a hardwire connection but the most I accomplished was to be able to download the item to the eReader but then when I eject the eReader from the computer and try to open the book on the Kobo I get this message: Your eReader is not authorized to open this book. This book is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM). Because you previously deauthorized your eReader, you need to reimport the book using Adobe Digital Editions (ADE). Please visit help.kobo.com for more information.’
Of course it isn't true that the eReader was deauthorized as so many other posts I've seen can also attest.
I have spent probably 15 hours doing everything I could think of (and everything I could find in forums, Kobo chats.... Adobe chats... authorizing and unauthorizing, reinstalling etc. I even tried ADE V 3.0 as suggested in one post. But nothing has worked.
Does anyone know how to solve this kind of problem? Thanks

Hi
I am having the same problem. ADE's helpline is useless and I now have ovr 1,000 books I am unable to read on my Kobo Clara. I think the only way to go is to purchase books direct from Kobo as ADE do not care as we do not pay for Digital Editions so their helpdesk is not covered. I have looked through many of the complaints which seem to cover the same area and going back to 2014 nobody from Adobe have helped. Yet with a lot of the book selling apps require that you have ADE installed on your tablet/ereader.
