Error Getting License- How do I fix this so I can download books?

I can't download ebooks onto ADE anymore. Every time I try to open a download this appears "Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem" How do I fix this?

I too am suddenly having this problem on two desktop computers -- one upgraded to Windows 10, the other still using Windows 7.  Hope we get an answer that works.  I have already tried the troubleshooting apps and tried 'allowing' ADE through my security apps.  Thanks.
