I have not used ADE for years. Now I have installed the program on my new computer as I want to access my old ebooks (epubs). I logged in using my Adobe-account (linked to my @gmail emailaddress). When I tried to access the books, ADE indicated for most books that "the supplier account that you have entered, is not linked to the item that you want to open. Try again" (translated from Dutch).

I then found out (accessing my old ereader) that my ADE-ID is linked to my old @Hotmail emailaddress. I do not actively use this addess, but I can still access it.

I then deauthorised my @gmail emailaddress and tried to authorise my @Hotmail emailaddress.

Unfortunately I do not know the password for the ADE-ID linked to my @Hotmail emailaddress. Of course I tried to reset the password through the Adobe-website. However, according to that website no Adobe-account exists linked to my @Hotmail emailaddress. When I contacted an Adobe-agent we figured out that I probably created my ADE-ID when that could still be done without having an Adobe-account.

The problem is that I cannot find out what my ADE-ID password was or reset it, as currently the button "forgot password" in the authorisation page in ADE links to the Adobe-website as it is assumed that one is logging on to the ADE-program using an Adobe-account, which I am not...

The result is that there is no way to access most of my old DRM-protected ebooks: the system considers them linked to my old account and therefore does not let me (another person according to the system) access them.

The agent did not know how to solve this and suggested that I contact the forum. Do you have any suggestions on how I can access my old ebooks? Can I somehow reset ADE? As a side note: I did already try to download the books again from the source, but ADE continues to see them as linked to my old account.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me!
