How can I stop the nag "... is not open from Library, would you like to copy it to Library?"

Most of my epubs are from Gutenberg, etc. I organise them myself, into folders. I do not want 2 copies just to keep ADE happy. Yet I am always nagged about copying them into Library. There is an option to not see this dialog again, but it does not work. Do I need to change to another reader?

The free Calibre is much superior to ADE: the only downside I know is that it can't read DRM books.

Or you can let ADE copy the books, and delete the first copy and just use the ADE copy even for other readers.

I had the same problem but I've found that Sony's Reader software is a good replacement. It remembers your settings and doesn't nag you everytime you open a book.

Just adding to the last answer:

Sony Reader; free download from Sony intended to run with Sony eReaders but works quite happily without.

I prefer ADE1.7.2 to Sony Reader, and Calibre to either (for DRM-free books),

but Sony Reader certainly worth a try to see how you get on with it.
