How do I find my account number?

I purchased some eBooks, but I didn't know they required Adobe Digital Edition. So I downloaded it and created an Adobe account, but I can't open any books with bookshelf. I get a dialog asking for an account number, but I can't find one?

That plus the only support is here, making it a frustrating journey for something totally simple.

Okay, sometimes I'm slow, but the answer was to just put in my username, which is my emial address. That is what they wanted, not some digital number. That worked and I'm using the bookshelf now.
