How to sync books across apple devices?

Hi!

Im new here.

I have a simple Q: How to sync ebooks across apple devices? MacOS & iOS in my case. (macBook & iPad)

I don't pay for anything, im just a student and try to save some money buying ebooks and pdf's. I hope that the function Im asking about is possible.

I hope that anybody can help me!
