Losing highlights when rechecking out book

My school's library only allows me to check out the book for 7 days at a time. When I return to the school's library page to recheck out the book I lose all of my highlights.

Is there a way to preserve my highlights or extend a check out period so that I don't have to redownload the book every 7 days and lose all my highlights?

No. If you loan ebooks again all must create new for this file. Its for Adobe Digital Editoin  a new "eBook" so can not used the hilghlights form the first using of the eBook.
