My digital books are no longer available to read or download.

The email with which I signed up with Adobe stopped working because the service provider closed. Therefore, after several years I had to update my email in my Adobe account. But this meant that my Adobe Digital Editions ID changed and now I cannot read or download my e-books. When trying to open any of my books or download them again I get this error message: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER
This means that the application interprets that the book belongs to another user, even though it is the same account, only that the ID varied. I cannot change my email back to the previous one because it no longer exists and, therefore, I cannot enter the code that is sent to that non-existent email to make the change. The Adobe Digital Edition application is authorized with my only account, but with a different ID that I cannot change again. So all my digital books bought over the years have been lost. I have them downloaded on my computer, but I cannot open them in the ADE app, nor do a new download. If anyone knows how to fix this problem please help me. Thanks.
