My ebooks don't open in Adobe Digital Editions anymore on my new laptop

I have a folder with ebooks which are EPUB.  Since I use a new laptop, my ebooks don't open anymore in Adobe Digital Editions on my new laptop (on my old laptop the ebooks opened just fine in ADE).  What can I do?
