No permission to copy

I have purchased books from Mills and Boon and tried to copy them to my Kobo ereader. However I keep getting an error message CE_copy_not_allowed_no permission to copy book.

Has you Digital Edition and your Reader authorize with the same Adobe ID?

I am not sure. I have three ereaders which do have some of the Mills and Boons books on them so I guess they are.

Then you should check it. In Digital Edition you can found the info under help > authorize info. In your reader can not say exaclty for this should check the helps of the readers.

Hi Nanaky

I didn't have my ereaders with me yesterday so I have brought them in today to check them. However I have checked the Digital Editions website and there is no help menu and when I search authorize info nothing comes up. Can you help?

Then start Digital Edition on your Windows. If the program are open check the menü for help.

Sorry I got confused I was going on to the website and not into Digital

Editions on my computer. I went into Digital Editions - Authorize

information and this was there.

password so I clicked on forgot password and changed the password and then

it wouldn't let me log in again I got the message You can only authorize

this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't been previously used to

authorize any other computer or mobile devices. Please try again. Is

there any way to reset the authorization.

Windows:

Close all applications.

Choose Start > Run.

In the Open text box, type regedit and then press Enter. The Registry Editor opens.

In the left pane of the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept

Select the Adept key.

Choose File > Export.

In the Export Registry File dialog box, select Selected Branch under Export Range. Enter a name and location for the backup registry key, and then click Save.

Right-click the Adept key and choose Delete.

In the Confirm Key Delete dialog, click OK.

Close the Registry Editor.

Open Adobe Digital Editions and reauthorize.

Macintosh:

quit Adobe Digital Editions.

Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash.

Open Adobe Digital Editions and reauthorize.

Hello. I tried to complete the above but could only find

HKEY_CURRENT_USER - there was no adept key. Is there anything else I can

do?

If you click on HKEY_CURRENT_USER you can found the folder Software....then click on this and choose the next...Good Luck

Right click on the File in Digital Edition and choose Mediainfo.

I cannot find mediainfo. The closest thing in my digital editions is item

info and that tells me that "The document is licensed for a different user

account."

Then the eBook is not authoirze with your Adobe ID. So the its so it is no wonder that the copy does not work. You must used the same adobe id used which has used by the first open of the file.

Thanks Nanaky. I have now got it working for older books. Can you tell me

what this means please:

Error getting License Service: Communication problem:

E_LIC_ ALREADY_ FULFILLED_ BY_ ANOTHER_ USER

I tried to download some books I have just purchased and got the above

message.

Its mean that the eBook linked with the other authorize. Has you open the eBook with empty or other authorize before its work fine with the right authoirze?
