problem with ebook on digital editions

I downloaded both my ebook and the digital editions and i cannot open my ebook in adobe. It doesnt even show up in adobe but its downloaded into my computer as a pdf.. HELP

Start Digital Edtion.

Go to File > Add to Library.

Choose the download eBook file.

Its should open in Digital Edition.
