My PC is authorized, my device is authorized, and I have downloaded a library book to the device. I have ejected the device properly. When I try to read the book an error message comes up:

Your eReader is not authorized to open this book. This book is protected...etc...Because you previously deauthorized your eReader, you need to re-import the book using ADE...etc.

I have re-downloaded the book to the Nia several times, but always get this error message. I've also removed the book from the ADE library and re-imported it. I still get this error message. Does anyone know what the problem is?

I had to download and install an earlier version of Adobe Digital Editions. It's been awhile but my recollection is that Kobo's customer service helped me with that. I don't remember whether I spoke with a rep or used the online chat, but that's what worked and I haven't had a problem since. Best of luck.

Hi Paul, thanks for your message. I have a Mac and I can't find a
previous version of ADE that will run with this OS. I tried to
download ADE 4.0, but it won't open. Great idea, though!

I am having the same problem. My library is in Canada and I am in South America. My library says it should still work, and Rakuten-Kobo tried many steps, but nothing has solved the problem. Adobe says they no longer support this "end of life" software. I was able to download a few books in December but now cannot.  Very frustrating.
