Unable to Erase Authorization. Please try after some time

I can't erase the authorization for Adobe Digital Editions. I get the same message over and over again. Unable to erase Authorization. Please try after some time. Need help.

Windows 10. I ended up installing an earlier version (3.0.1) which enabled me to erase the authorization. I re-installed the latest version and corrected the e-mail address associated with the account. I had set it up with the wrong e-mail account when I re-installed it to a new hard drive.

I have the same issue with Digital Editions 4.5 on Win10. Did you ever get a fix for this issue? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but somehow it retains my adobe ID so I can't even get around it that way.

Closed Digital Edition. Remove the authorize over Help Authorize remove and then authorize again.

  1. Close all applications.
  2. Choose Start > Run.
  3. In the Open text box, type regedit and then press Enter. The Registry Editor opens.
  4. In the left pane of the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept
  5. Select the Adept key.
  6. Choose File > Export.
  7. In the Export Registry File dialog box, select Selected Branch under Export Range. Enter a name and location for the backup registry key, and then click Save.
  8. Right-click the Adept key and choose Delete.
  9. In the Confirm Key Delete dialog, click OK.
  10. Close the Registry Editor.
  11. Open Adobe Digital Editions and reauthorize.

I worked for me. Try this

1. Close all applications.

2. Choose Start > Run.

3. In the Open text box, type regedit and then press Enter. The Registry Editor opens.

4. In the left pane of the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept

5. Select the Adept key.

6. Choose File > Export.

7. In the Export Registry File dialog box, select Selected Branch under Export Range. Enter a name and location for the backup registry key, and then click Save.

8. Right-click the Adept key and choose Delete.

9. In the Confirm Key Delete dialog, click OK.

10. Close the Registry Editor.

11. Open Adobe Digital Editions and reauthorize.

I installed the earlier version 3.0, erased it’s auth and then installed 4.5.
