I installed Adobe Digital Editions so my wife could read her NOOK books on my PC.
She has converted to a Kindle and no longer needs the NOOK reader app. I have uninstalled it.
I also uninstalled Adobe Digital Editions. But now, I periodically get a popup requesting to reinstall it.
I reinstalled it, then ran REVO (a better uninstaller than the Windows default - REVO
removes EVERYTHING left over from the "standard" uninstall) but I'm STILL getting the popup.
Now it's starting to pop up when I start CHROME. What's going on here? I just want
to remove all traces of Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.0 from my PC, but the install program has wormed it's
way into my Windows PC in such a way that I cannot figure out how to totally remove it.
I'm guessing it replaced a standard Windows DLL or something??? Or put something into the PATH?
Or is using a very common name for the install process?
Has anyone else seen this problem? HOW DO I RID MYSELF OF THIS INSTALL PROGRAM?!
Thanks in advance for any help or insight you can offer.
