When I open a borrowed book with my ereader only one blank page appears. How can it be fixed?

I borrowed ebooks from my library. I can read them using ADE on my main computer. I transferred them to an ereader. When I open the book with my ereader only one blank page appears. Probably something is not entirely OK with authorization. How to proceed?
