When I try to delete duplicate EPUBs in ADE, they reappear and multiply

I have downloaded the EPUB version of a book I purchased in Google Play Books. The book is appearing multiple times in my ADE library, so I am trying to delete the duplicates. But the more I delete the duplicates, the more they multiply, like a Hydra's head.

How can I delete the duplicate versions? It is really frustrating.

Its a problem with current version of Digital Edition. Try if work with 3.0: http://www.adobe.com/support/digitaleditions/downloads.html
