I have Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.7 installed on a 2017 iMac running OSX High Sierra.

When I try to load an .acsm file I get the following error message:

"Unable to download

Error getting license. License Server

Communication Problem:

E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12"

Can anyone help me please?

I am surprised that there so many users with unanswered  problems.

Is there a way to get Adobe to provide some support to users?

I stumbled upon the solution.

I deleted Adobe Digital Solutions from my system and then in /Library/Application Support/Adobe/ I deleted the folder “Digital Editions”. After that I re-installed version 4.5.7. When I tried to load an  .acsm file I was prompted to get a new Adobe Id to authorise my computer.  After that, everything was fine.
