I had to re-instal my Adobe Digita Editions because it stopt working when I tried to download a book from Internat Archive. Now I can download books but then the program freezes, I canĀ“t even shut it off without using Ctrl+Alt+Delete. The next time I open my Adobe Digital Editions my downloaded items has disappeard

Please help me

Am having the same problem. Tried the registry/reauthorization solution suggested here, but it's not working. It seems as if the acsm file (from the New York Public Library) is downloading successfully, but the download process causes Adobe Digital Editions to freeze solid. (Am using Windows 7 Task Manager to close the software.)

 

And, as described by the OP, upon reopening Digital Editions, the "downloaded" file has disappeared.
