Digital Editions 4.0 Authorization problems.

I get to 'Authorizing your Computer. Please wait while your computer is being authorized.' and it just keeps going for hours and never authorizes!

I have tried

- Uninstall and reinstall 4.0 (yes, I turned the computer off in between)

- Uninstall and reinstall older version of DE

- Using different internet connection, both home and phone hot spot, turning both off and on again

- Chatting with Adobe staff on help (they said they would get back to me - hah!)

My adobe user name and password allow me to log in to this page without any trouble.

Can anyone help with the authorisation?

OR How else can I access acsm files?

Thanks Akshayy.

Turns out I needed to restore Internet Explorer to the default settings to allow Digital Reader to connect with the Adobe server - AND NOW I AM AUTHORIZED!!!

Thank you again!

This looks like a internet connection issue.

Please restart your machine and ensure internet connectivity is fine.

Try to authorize now !

Did you read my post?

I have tried multiple internet connections - and have turned computer AND internet on and off multiple times.

The internet connection works well enough to download the program multiple times.

Your answer is not helpful for my situation.

Akshayy- Yes - the page says up.

I have adjusted the time zone in my Adobe Member Preferences. Is that the time zone you mean shreya?

Have tried Authorizing again and it has been running with a 'please wait' message for a few minutes.

No, it means time on your computer is correct. Try to set correct time on your machine, restart and try.

Is it a PC or Mac or Device ?
