Can I encrypt/password protect a pdf emailed for sigital signature?

     can I email a pdf for digital signature and also have it encrypted and/or password protected.  I cant seem to do both to same pdf and am concerned if I send a confidential document for signature it might not comply with GDPR if not encrypted

Following on from my original question,  I dont think there is a way of password protecting and using the send for signature tool.    But I have also tried from the Adobe sign page using the send facitlity.   I can add a password and a place for signature but when I email the pdf the recipient is not asked to put in a password although a padlock symbol shows on the attached file.

I cant seem to find any way to send a document for someone to sign where they have to enter a password before opening the file to sign. 

Can you help please
