I use my Adobe Digital Editions really often and never had any problem.
Today, I tried downloading a book from the same site I always download it (public library) and it says: E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12
I tried to desinstall and reinstall, but it doesn't work.

I am having the same problem as many adobe digital users have had, with a new twist. I was unable to download materials from the public library, using cloud library. Using instructions from this forum, I deauthorized my computer. Now, when I try to reauthorize my computer, I receive the message
Activation Server error-code E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY.
Digital Editions encounter an error on the activation server.
I'm sure I have the correct password because I changed it today when I began to have problems and needed it to log into this forum.
Could you help me with this?

Unfortunately I'm still the problem. But you can find the hidden file on a MAC by going to your file finder. Under the 'GO' drop down, find 'go to folder'. Enter '~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions'. That should find the hidden file in order to reset the authorization process.
Unfortunately I'm still having a problem with the key.
