Hi there.  I upgraded to 4.5.4 yesterday and the problem was still there afterwards.  I also updated Adobe Air just in case as well.

Hi, Helen!

It was a pleasure to assist you at Customer Care. We have been informed that a
problem involving the Adobe server occurred today and is currently under
investigation. This is likely the reason for the difficulty you were
experiencing earlier today.

You may want to contact Adobe to find out more about this problem.

So it was their server.

I had the same problem today. Bought 3 different books ad downloaded them as usual. One is .epub, the other two are .acsm.

I added them in Adobe Digital Edition version 4.5.10 but I got the following error for the two .acsm ebooks only:

E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR

I can't download these two ebooks on my Kobo reader. The other one works as usual.

Anyone solved this issue?

It's helpful to know that others are struggling with this problem I would be happier if someone had a solution and was able to post it on this blog!

Would be hore helpful if adobe took some responsibility and didn´t leave it up to the community to solve their issiues. I´m getting behind in my studies because of this toyal lack of care...

Same error, even for books I know are functional in other e-readers. Re/Deauthorization does nothing, reinstalling, rebooting, etc does nothing. I find it strange that over half a decade later Adobe hasn't fixed this.

Happening for many users at Archive org

This is something Adobe has to fix on their side.

Same. Something is changing, at least. Neither Adobe or Archve have publically acknowledgely the issue, but they are aware of it.

I'd just check back every day. They'll fix it like they always do, eventually.

I had the exact same problem with Archive and ADE; the error code has now switched to E_ADEPT_INTERNAL. I also can't put my EPUBs or Kobo books into ADE.

Hopefully they do. It is comforting to know that I am not the only one to experience this problem.
