My books won't open suddenly

Although my books used to open OK, they now refuse to do so and report 'unknown permission error'.  I think the problem may be that I changed the password on my account, and also changed it on my Adobe ID account, but I can't change it on in the Digeital editions.  Since one of the books was hugely expensive and I need it urgently, I don't want to risk losing it altogether!  I am thinking of erasing authorisation and re-authorising it with the new password, but will this mean losing the books as well.  Has anyone any ideas, please?  Is it even possible to change the authorisation?

Thank you

Ah, the way to deauthorise!  Start digital editions and press controller, shift and d.  That will deauthorise it.  You can then reauthorise it with your new details.  Worked for me, and good luck to others with similar problem.
