I had the same problem. I solve that changing "¡" for "i".

Please, try to change the password using only common characters displayed at English keyboard. Also disable 2 steps authorization.

I'm using Digital Editions v4.5.10 for Windows 10 and had the same issue.

Seems Digital Editions for computer does not allow special characters such as "å, ä, ö, ü, û" etc.

My solution:

Uninstall Digital Editions (probably not needed)

Remove regedit\Adept according to already proposed solution elseware (Error messages and troubleshooting tips for activation errors in Adobe Digital Editions ) (probably not needed)

-> Log into Adobe webpage, go to account and change your password to numbers and english letters.

-> Try again to log onto your installed Digital Editions.
