Please help with downloading ebook to library

I'm new to Adobe Digital Edition and can't find info about this problem.

I am trying to  download an ebook from a book site but when I go through all the proper steps, nothing shows up in my Library. There isn't even an error message to tell me if something was wrong.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Start Digital Editoin.

Go to File > Add to the Library.
Choose the download eBook in your download file.
It is should open.
