Using Adobe Digital Editions to read library books on KoboGlo

I installed Adobe Digital Editions and downloaded a library book to my KoboGlo but it says I can't read it because I am not authorized by Adobe Digital Editions. I have tried numerous times to figure out how I can become authorized but with no luck. Any suggestions?

Hi Ellen541,

To authorize your eReader with Adobe:

1. Install Adobe Digital Editions.
2. Launch Adobe Digital Editions.
3. From the Help menu, click Authorize Computer.
   • If you don't already have an Adobe ID, click the get an Adobe ID online link.
   • Adobe will launch your web browser and take you to the Adobe Sign In page to create an Adobe account.
   • When you're done, return to Adobe Digital Editions.
4. Enter your Adobe ID and password.
5. Click Authorize.
6. Click Finished when Adobe finishes authorizing your computer.
7. Connect your eReader to your computer and tap Connect.
8. In ADE, click the icon beside Devices.
9. Click Authorize Device...
10. Select the account with which you would like to authorize your eReader.
11. Click Authorize Device.
12. Click OK to complete the process.

the icon devices is not there. What is the problem?

Hi Say-hi-2-Ravi,

I have completed all these steps above in the installation process twice. I might add. I use to have another account that I used to authorize my adobe services through but since I have been in a graduate program at Liberty University I have used my educational email address that I obtained that I also used when I purchased Adobe Acrobat Professional 17. Please help me resolve this issue. I have gotten no help from adobe and I have no clue how to resolve it. Please send solutions to my email to let me know that you have responded to this post. You are more helpful that Adobe. They won't provide "chat support" for ADE.

I have authorized my computer.

I cannot find Devices nor a gear icon.
