Bad geometry when exporting .OBJ from Illustrator to Dimensions

Creating simple blister shape with cutouts in Illustrator, when I export as a .OBJ it is producing bad geometry. It imports into Dimensions fine, but when I add a label the design gets distorted where the cutout shapes are.  Images show distortion where cutouts are. Anyone know how I can fix? I tried creating UV in Dimensions but it did not work, I can piece it and add the background gradient as a background and graphics separate but takes a lot to scale correctly and will not be as accurate as using composited design.

It dificult to catch the problem without looking on Ai file. But any way, some illustrator object do not transmitted into Dn correctly. Try to find solution in Ai file. Did you try to group objects in Ai before 3D effetcs?

Thanks for trying to help.  I just tested a simple rectangle with a smaller rectangle on top, used minus front in pathfinder for cutout. For 3D, selected plane and nothing else. The OBJ in Dn still distorts where the cutout is with any graphics I add. Any thoughts?
