Decal distortion

Hi,

my first time here! Thanks evrybody in advance for any help.

Dimension (3.4 verison)  keeps distorting decals when there are "holes" (windows, cuts...) on the model's surface.

Take a look at the attached screenshot: this is very annoying when working with packaging!

The bag in the picture is a default Dimesion model.

Hope someone can help!

Federica.

To compliment existing material and decal features in Dimension 2020 (version 3.4), you can now export a 3D model's UVs in PSD format. UVs are a representation of a 3D model flattened into 2D space, making it easy to design graphics in Photoshop and Illustrator.

Hi Ares,

yes, your video helped me! It's not as easy as a "drag and drop", but it's fully effective.

See my try attached below:

yes this is a known limit of the AI and needs to be fixed by hand... in that case I would aply the image as a material instead of a decal but watch the vid Ares posted first
