Is there really no way to add height or bump maps to OBJs in Adobe Dimension? That seems a little crazy.

height or bump maps are old school which got replaced by normal maps... as pointed out you can load your map using the option and in most cases a bump map will look fine when loaded and when it doesn't you can convert it into a normal map with your software of choice to fix it

You can add any normal, height or any other map into "+" input small window near to slider of property to simulate that property. That can be any bitmap file.
