How do you place a graphic on a sketchup model

I was very excited to see that Sketchup files could now be imported into Dimension CC. But how do you place a graphic onto the actual model? When I drag an image onto the model nothing appears. There are options to move the image around, but you can't see it. ! !

It should work on any model just as you described.  If it is not appearing then there is a bug, but unfortunately it is likely object related and in order to debug these problems we really need the sample files.  If it's a model you can share, please e-mail to tickets@adobedimension.com.  Please attach as much as possible including:

  • The original model (pre-import) in native format such as .skp, .stl, .obj, etc.
  • The original image you are trying to apply to the model in native format such as .jpg,

  • The original model (pre-import) in native format such as .skp, .stl, .obj, etc.
  • The original image you are trying to apply to the model in native format such as .jpg, .png, .psd, .ai, .etc.
  • The Dimension scene file in .dn format after having attempted the action so we can check the manifest.
  • A screenshot of the problem or result that you are seeing on your end.
  • Your full hardware information:
    • Application Version (Can be located in the About screen)
    • OS/Version
    • Processor
    • Memory/RAM
    • Graphics Card/VRAM
  • The Dimension.log file located here:
    • Mac:  ~/Library/Logs/Adobe/

    • Win:  ~\username\appdata\local\Adobe\Dimension
